নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : লক্ষ্মীপুরের কমলনগরে গিয়াস উদ্দিন নামে এক সেনা সদস্যের বাড়িতে দুর্ধর্ষ চুরি সংঘটিত হয়েছে। শনিবার গভীর রাতে উপজেলার করুনানগর এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। সংঘবদ্ধ চোরের দল ওই সময় সেনা সদস্যের বসতঘর থেকে নগদ অর্থ ও স্বর্ণালঙ্কারসহ লক্ষাধিক টাকার মালামাল নিয়ে যায়।
স্থানীয় হাজিরহাট ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সদস্য মো. সেলিম জানান, রাত আড়াইটার দিকে তিন-চারজনের একদল মুখোশধারী চোর ওই এলাকার সেনা সদস্য গিয়াস উদ্দিনের বসতঘরের জানালার গ্রিল কেটে ভিতরে ঢুকে। ওই সময় চোর ঘরে থাকা নগদ ৫ হাজার টাকা, স্বর্ণালঙ্কার, মোবাইলফোন ও মূল্যবান মালামালসহ লক্ষাধিক টাকার মালামাল নিয়ে পালিয়ে যায়।
কমলনগর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইকবাল হোসেন জানান, খবর পেয়ে তিনি ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছেন। এ ব্যাপারে থানায় অভিযোগ দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি চলছে। তদন্ত করে এ ব্যাপারে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নিবেন।
