নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : লক্ষ্মীপুরের রামগতিতে মো. নুরুল আমিন নামে নৌ-বাহিনীর এক সদস্যের বাড়িতে ডাকাতির ঘটনা ঘটেছে। বৃহস্পতিবার গভীর রাতে রামগতি পৌরসভার জমিদারহাট এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এ সময় ডাকাতদল পরিবারের সদস্যদের পিটিয়ে নগদ অর্থ ও স্বর্ণালঙ্কারসহ চার লাখ টাকার মালামাল নিয়ে যায়।
জানা যায়, রাত ২টার দিকে একদল মুখোশধারী সশস্ত্র ডাকাত ওই এলাকার নৌ-বাহিনীর সদস্য নুরুল আমিনের বসতঘরের জানালার গ্রিল কেটে ভিতরে ঢুকে। এ সময় তারা পরিবারের দুই নারী সদস্যকে পিটিয়ে অস্ত্রের মুখে জিম্মি করে ফেলে। একপর্যায়ে তারা নগদ ৭০ হাজার টাকা ও ৮ ভরি স্বর্ণালঙ্কারসহ প্রায় ৪ লাখ টাকার মালামাল নিয়ে পালিয়ে যায়।
স্থানীয় রামগতি পৌরসভার কাউন্সিলর জয়নাল আবদিন ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
রামগতি থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) এটিএম আরিচুল হক জানান, ঘটনাটি তিনি শুনেননি। তবে খোঁজ-খবর নিয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নিবেন।
