টাঙ্গাইলের মির্জাপুর উপজেলায় ট্রাক দুর্ঘটনায় একই পরিবারের তিনজন নিহত হয়েছেন। গতকাল সোমবার দিবাগত রাত আড়াইটার দিকে উপজেলার শুভুল্যা এলাকায় ঢাকা থেকে উত্তরাঞ্চলগামী টাইলসবোঝাই ওই ট্রাকের চালক নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারালে ট্রাকটি সড়কের পাশে উল্টে পড়ে। এ ঘটনায় আহত পাঁচজন।

নিহত ব্যক্তিরা হলেন নিরঞ্জন মালি (৩৫), তাঁর স্ত্রী সাগরী (২৫) ও মেয়ে স্বর্ণা (৮)। তাঁদের বাড়ি জয়পুরহাটের ক্ষেতলাল উপজেলায়।

ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে মির্জাপুর থানার সহকারী উপপরিদর্শক (এএসআই) নজরুল ইসলাম জানান, ঢাকা থেকে উত্তরাঞ্চলগামী টাইলসবোঝাই একটি ট্রাকে আটজন যাত্রী ছিলেন। ট্রাকটি শুভুল্যা এলাকায় পৌঁছানোর পর চালক নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারালে এটি সড়কের পাশে পড়ে যায়। এ ঘটনায় একই পরিবারের তিনজন নিহত হন। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও হাইওয়ে পুলিশ দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে যায়। হতাহত ব্যক্তিদের উদ্ধার করে তারা মির্জাপুরের কুমুদিনী হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায়। আহত ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে দুজনের অবস্থা গুরুতর।
